About the instructor
Immobilizations for Combat Application is taught by Samuel Chi Baker, MS, REV, NCC, MAC, LPC — a former law enforcement officer, martial arts school owner, and clinical mental health professional whose work bridges hard skills and the human stress response. Samuel is a Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Kung Fu instructor, a Mental Health and Addictions Counselor, a Clinical Supervisor for LPC and LMFT interns, and an Adjunct Professor in the Counseling and Criminal Justice Departments. His background is uniquely positioned to teach control under pressure: he understands both the body mechanics and the brain chemistry of a violent encounter.
This module is presented in collaboration with TRICOM Training, which hosts the course on its platform and stands behind the curriculum.
